Rules Thread -READ BEFORE POSTING-

- What is PMDG:
- PMDG or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Gijinka, is a play-by-post rpg(roleplaying game) in which members will take on the role of their gijinka character and travel through dungeons to help others and uncover secrets.
-Our posts will resemble paragraphs of a story instead of single sentence responses.
-Gijinka which are the main feature of this site are; Humans that have been given animal like characteristics(or pokemon in our case)
-Please note that there are additional rules for moderators.
- General Rules:
-Each member is required to have an avatar. Eventually there will be a selection of avatars you must choose from but for now, you may use any image of a pokemon or a pokemon gijinka. PLEASE KEEP IT APPROPRIATE!(Also, unless you are a legend you may NOT use a legend as your avatar.)
-Blood and gore is allowed and encouraged when killing off another gijinka. (NPC or character)
-No explicit sexual content
-NO GODMODDING
-There should be no talk of religion, politics, or other controversial issues in the out-of-character forums or the chatbox.
-Respect is to be shown to everyone.
Respect is required in both the public forums and PM. If anyone is showing disrespect to another member, it is to be reported to an Admin.
The chatbox has the same rules as our forums do.
There should be no spamming or trolling. Please respect others and do not attack anyone or use rude behavior.
3 verbal warnings = chatban (will be less based on severity)
First chat report: 3 day chatban
Second chat report: 1 week chatban
Third chat report: Permanent chatban
Any violation of the rules will result in a ban
- Character Creation:
-Keep the character appropriate
-The character should not be overpowered
Make sure you balance your character's abilities. If they are capable of some great feat, they should have a weakness that balances it, because they can not be trained they should not know all the most powerful TM moves.(right away at least)
-The Gijinka are allowed to have ears and tails or other small references that are part of their body.
-Gijinka will have powers, and can attack.
-The Gijinka may also be allowed a single weapon after obtaining your first badge
-Shiny Gijinka (and oddly colored) will be allowed, however these will require a special type of orb
-These special orbs will be required for any shiny Gijinka or a Gijinka who has odd coloration on more than 25% of its body.
Pokemon level cap
-No badges; lvl 15 and under
-1 badge; lvl 30 and under
-2 badges; lvl 45 and under
-3 badges; lvl 60 and under
-4 badges; lvl 75 and under
A level cap indicates the maximum level any character you create can be upon creation. However, these caps only affect your characters when they are first introduced. You character can still grow.Its to avoid having many over powered Gijinka running about.
- Fusion Orbs:
-On this forum our members excluding; Admin, Mods, Meanies, and NPCs(Guild master, kecleon shop etc.) have the ability to posses multiple characters. The amount of active characters a person can posses is dependent on the amount of Fusion Orbs a person has. If the orb is used up it represents an active character, if it is not it represents an opportunity to create a new character.
-Every member receives three orbs when they first join. These orbs are unused. When a character is submitted and approved by an Admin, the orb will have the characters name engraved on it, making it used up.
-These orbs will be found on your profile page, so you can keep track of how many characters you have.
-Every user can gain more Fusion Orbs as they progress.
-These can be traded between users, and purchased.
-Fusion Orbs can also be earned when you acquire a badge.
-Though the Fusion Orbs are easy to acquire, it is discouraged that you make more characters than you can handle.
Killing off characters
-You are allowed to kill off your characters in order to be refunded a Fusion Orb. However if your character is killed by one of the Meanies, no Orb will be refunded.
-You must post on your teams character sheet if you kill one of your characters in order to be refunded your Orb, and so an Admin can take you off the team roster.
-You can not kill off another user's character unless both users have agreed on this. Details are to be discussed through PM.
-Don't bully others into killing off their character. This is highly disrespectful and is punishable by ban.
- Roleplay Rules and Formatting:
PMDG is a turn based role play in which each team must post in an established order.This is to keep others from being left behind as well as keeping things organized.
-The characters are listed in the order in which they are to post in the Team Character Sheets.
-Characters are only to follow the character preceding them, and are not to post out of turn unless the character they normally follow is 'Away'.
-It is recommended that each character post once a day, but wait no longer than three days to reply.
-Try to post a paragraph each time you post, and no more than seven paragraphs if possible.
-Please make sure to use proper grammar as much as possible.
All new users will be screened for grammatical/writing skills. If your writing skill is not at a sufficient level then you will not be allowed to post in the official roleplay.
-Use Out of Character (OoC) notes where applicable.
This goes for if you need to make an out of character comment about the roleplay. Also, all members must add an OoC note to the bottom of their posts whenever:
They are granted permission to harm or kill another member's character.
When they give permission for another member to harm or kill their character.
Every official RP thread is member-moderated concerning content.
If a member sees violations of forum rules (be it godmodding, one-sentence posts, or otherwise), they are to notify the member. If the violations persist, report it to one of the admins.
When posting in any roleplay threads, you should format the top of your post like so (With center tags):

Place|Time|Post count
At the top of each post, provided a centered head shot of your character. Custom OC art is being offered by out site artists in exchange for points if you do not have an image readily available.
Following the image, state your location and time of day in bold.
Post a post count number after the time of day in your header if you wish to participate in the PMDG League. Details will be given in a linked thread.
Any color changes you include in your post must be easily readable.
- Teams:
On PMDG 'teams' are the groups of characters in the official roleplay that will be exploring the dungeons.
-Exploration teams are made of four members
-Team leaders must be approved by the guildmaster to start a team(this is different than character approval)
-The Team leaders will be in charge of where the team goes, and which missions the team takes.
-The teams are member moderated, meaning if a member catches someone breaking the site rules they are to report them to an admin.
- Character absence:
Please note our activity rules here on PMDG are strict to avoid the roleplay threads from becoming stagnant
-A character/user is give three days to post starting the moment the user before them posts beginning their turn.
-A warning will be posted in the warning thread for users who have not posted on the third day.
-If the user has not posted within 24 hours of the third day warning, the users character will be killed by a Meanie.
Note;This only applies to the user that did not post NOT the whole team. (If it is the leader who is killed it will act as if you have fainted inside a dungeon and you will be forced to restart the dungeon. You will lose half your money and any items you have acquired.)
-Please note if your character is killed by a Meanie, you will not be refunded a Fusion Orb.
-If you lose two characters to Meanie attacks you will be banned from the official roleplay(Note however you will still be allowed to participate in other things on the site.)
-Meanie attacks can be taken off your profile after 2 months without a Meanie attack.
The Meanies will get any slacking posters. So make sure to post on time. If you are going away for a length of time, speak to the guild master about leaving your characters at the guild house for safe keeping.
- Advanced Rules:

Yes I realize our rules are a bit lengthy and complex, I do not expect you to read through and understand everything in one day. You are free to PM the admins or talk to members in the chat if you need any help. I made these rules to keep the forum at its highest quality possible. Once you make your first character and jump in, it gets much easier from there.
There is a reason this thread is required reading. Do not make the mistake of merely skimming through the rules and agreeing to them without knowing what they consist of.
Once you read this, reply to this thread stating that you accept the terms of our forum.
We reserve the right to ban anyone who does not adhere to these rules.
Your next step will be the Fusion Room, where you will find the character application form.
